A national commercial flooring installer asked our TRADITION LIEN SERVICE division to record a SOUTH CAROLINA Notice of Mechanics Lien on apartment complex located in Fort Mill, SC within York county. According to Wikipedia, in 1785, York County was one of the original counties in the newly created state of South Carolina.

General/Prime Contractors and Subcontractors can file a notarized SOUTH CAROLINA Notice Of Mechanic’s Lien up to ninety (90) days after completion of a project. Record it with the Register Of Deeds in the county where the project is located. Fees to record with the York county Register of Deeds Office are as follows: $25.00 for the first four (4) pages, $1.00 each additional page of 8-1/2″ x 11″ or 8-1/2″ x 14″ paper. NOTE: Releasing a lien is $10 for the first four (4) pages.

Claimants are required to file suit to foreclose on a SOUTH CAROLINA Notice Of Mechanic’s Lien within six (6) months of the last day providing equipment, labor, materials or services for a project.
