Sworn Statement And Notice Of Intention To Hold Mechanic’s Lien

INDIANA Code § 32-8-3-3 mandates that you must file a Sworn Statement And Notice Of Intention To Hold Mechanic’s Lien with the County Recorders Office in the County where the project occurred. It must be filed within sixty (60) days (residential) or ninety (90) days (public improvements, commercial) after the completion of providing labor, rental equipment, or materials. A recorded copy should also be delivered in person or by Certified Mail to the Owner of the property along with any other legal parties related to the improvement of the property (Customer, Lender, General Contractor).
